Beetroot Cutlets

I hate raw beetroots but with Hb 8 beetroots become unavoidable :). So here is one recipe that i tried and that turned out very well. From now on beetroot cutlets are a must have dish in my breakfast item list.

Ingredients:

2 large beetroots
3 medium sized potatoes
1 large onion
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp spoon suji/rawa
salt to taste.
2 large tsp of oil to shallow fry

Procedure
1) Pressure cook the beetroots and the potatoes in a cooker.
2) Grate the cooked beetroot and smash the potatoes, combine together.
3) Cut the onions into small squared pieces and add it to the above mixture. Add red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste and salt to taste.
4) Divide the mixture into 12 equal parts and form tikkis of each part.
5) Place each tikki on the suji/rawa so that the tikki get covered with it. This help the cutlets to turn crispy.
6) On a fry pan pour little oil and shallow fry the cutlet for 7-8 mins on low flame.
Enjoy !!!

Above is the valentine version of the cutlets :)
