The name here suggests that this snack is full of green vegetables and hence pretty good for health.
Ingredients:
4 medium sized potatoes
10-12 spinach leaves
a handful of coriander leaves
half a tea cup of green peas peeled
4 green chillies
a small piece of ginger
salt to taste
oil to shallow fry
sesame seeds to garnish
Method:
1) Pressure cook the potatoes, peel and smash
2) Blanch the spinach (parboil and then add in cold water) leaves.
3) Grind together spinach , coriander,peas,ginger, chillies in a mixer.
4) Add the above mixture to the smashed potatoes, add salt and mix well.
5) Divide the mixture into 10 small equal parts and roll out into flat tikkis between your 2 palms.
6) Place some sesame seeds on both sides of each tikki and shallow fry for 10 minutes on low flame.
